What size screen do I need?
With each kit we generally specify the maximum dimensions for either:
- The opening size i.e. the space left when a window or door is open
- The dimensions of the entire reveal in which the window or door sits
As long as your opening or reveal is within the kit dimensions given, then the kit will be suitable to make a screen to fit your window or door.

Where kit dimensions relate to an opening, the measurements you require are W and H shown below. You can then match these measurements to the closest kit. Where a kit indicates that you can make two screens, you can make two screens up to the maximum dimensions given.
Additional considerations:
For Light Duty screen frames
A smooth continuous [frame] surface surrounding the opening, at least 20mm (¾“) wide, is required to mount the fly screens on. Add another 12mm (1/2”) for Turn Button or lift on/lift off hinges.
For Heavy Duty screen frames
A smooth continuous [frame] surface surrounding the window or door, at least 45mm (1 5/8“) wide, is required to mount the fly screens on. Add another 12mm (1/2”) for Turn Button or lift on/lift off hinges.
